I know I have not posted in a long time, but today I saw a friend of mine who is gay, share this link. I am in a great relationship with my fiance Matt, but I have lots of friends of different sexualities, and I cannot image hating any of them because of their sexual orientation. My opinion of them would not change whether or not they like boys or girls, and I honestly find it hard to understand how people can think it’s wrong. I understand not understanding it, and a fear of the unknown, as well as a lot of other feelings about homosexuality, just not thinking that it’s wrong and that the person is any different as a person!
This link is to an article about the Christian Organization “One Million Moms” (I believe more like 10,000), and their action on the show “Good Luck Charlie” when a lesbian couple is introduced. Looking at their website, specifically the successes, they are against much more than just homosexuality. Any making fun of Christianity, foul language, or “racy tv”, is all being tackled. Their successes do not seem viable, nor specific, and they are most likely just agreeing with what already happened to a certain show.
TV can be a shitty place, but with the way kids have access to media these days, kids are being introduced to mature topics earlier in life. I do not personally think this is bad. There are shows I don’t like. I personally hate The Simpsons, but not because of language. I just don’t like the show. Their most recent update is to have the show “Two Broke Girls” off the air. That show is awesome! It is not targeted for kids, and so if your kid watches and you don’t like it, punish THEM, not US! Other people like the show.
